ARROW: Loved the long look we got this week on Ollie's island time. I feel I was cheated out of comfort time in the present, though. Of course, it should be pretty clear by now that my thirst for comfort is verra hard to quench. I just looove Tech-Girl. I've hearted her from the start and I'm glad she's been given the keys to the Bat cave. (I just realized that both of my Wednesday night shows have Bat caves. Life is just awesome that way.) I loved Diggle and Tech-Girl (seriously, what is her name again?) taking care of Oliver. I can't wait to see what fanfic is born of this.
SUPERNATURAL: The episode of epic awesomness. Let ‘s start with the shallow: HOT DAMN THEY LOOK GOOD IN THOSE GLASSES! They should wear them all the time. Fighting hell hounds, pumping gas, flossing their teeth, doing sit-ups. Always. *fans self*
“Sammy.” *glee* And more than once!
Am I watching fan fiction?
Dean’s perfect ending is Sam having a happy one.
Sam believes in Dean and he can save them both—give them both a happy ending. All Dean needs to do is follow him. “If you come with me, I can take you to it.” Sam so needs this! He needs Dean to hand over the torch to him—one he can just as easily carry, but chooses to pass to Sam. Taking on this risk isn’t so much about saving the world (or even closing the gates of hell) as much as it is just about saving his brother. I feel like this is really all Sam has ever needed—that every well intended bad decision has stemmed from his need or failure to save Dean.
When I first started watching SPN waaay back in season one, I often felt like I was watching the best fan fiction. The boys wore their hearts on their sleeves and it made my bromance lovin’ heart all a-squee. Tonight, after everything they have been through…I finally feel like they have come full circle. I feel like this is where they should be in their relationship. It feels right more than it has in a long time to me. (I’mma just gonna pretend the first half of the season doesn’t exist.)
I haven’t actually teared up due to brotherly love and pride in… I can’t even remember how long. I did tonight, though and I felt like Amanda Woods in “The Holiday” when she realized that she was indeed crying. “Welcome back, Amanda Woods,” the narrator said. Well, welcome back Supernatural. *fist pump*
